You can ask us to delete your VARTKO account at any time — in the app or on this page. Here is exactly what is deleted, what we have to keep, and how long it takes.

1. Request deletion

In the app: Customer app → Profile → Delete account; Rider app → Account → Delete account; Partner app → More → Delete account.

On the web: sign in with your VARTKO email or phone number and password, then request deletion on this page.

2. What is deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number, password and profile photo — you can no longer sign in.
  • Your saved addresses, business profile, notification settings and in-app notifications.
  • Push notification registrations for your devices, and all your sign-in sessions.
  • Riders: date of birth, operating area, vehicle registration and licence details, identity and vehicle documents, emergency contact, payout account details and last known location. Location sharing stops.
  • Partner Store staff: your access to the store, and your name and contact details on its team list.
  • Partner Store applicants: a store application that never went live is withdrawn and its documents are deleted.
  • An optional reason you gave for leaving.

3. What we keep, and why

Some records have to outlive an account — for legal, financial and tax recordkeeping, fraud prevention, safety, and resolving disputes and claims about parcels and payments. We keep them without your name or contact details. They still carry internal references (for example an account number or a rider code) that link them to each other, so they are pseudonymised rather than fully anonymous, and a few of them can still identify someone by their nature:

  • Shipments you booked — tracking code, parcel details, price, route area (city and neighbourhood) and status history. Your name, phone, email, exact address and pickup instructions are removed. The recipient's details you entered stay on the shipment record.
  • Payments, wallet transactions, refunds and payouts — amounts, dates and references. Card details are reduced to the card type, bank and last four digits; payout account numbers to their last four digits.
  • Delivery and custody records — handover events and where they happened, delivery photos and signatures attached to shipments, and a rider's rider code on them. Photos and signatures can themselves identify people.
  • Support conversations — what was written and attached, for complaint and dispute handling.
  • A Partner Store that traded — its business record and business documents, which may name its owners. The owner's personal contact details are removed.
  • Security and audit logs of actions on the account, which include IP addresses.

Parcels sent to you by someone else remain part of the sender's record; they are no longer linked to your account. How long each kind of record is kept is being confirmed with legal advice; until then these records are kept only for the purposes above, and copies in our backups remain until those backups are rotated. The Privacy Policy explains this further.

4. How long it takes, and what you can do meanwhile

If nothing is outstanding, your account is deleted 7 days after your request, so you can change your mind.

If something still ties your account to our operations — a parcel in progress, money in or owed to a wallet, cash still to hand in, a refund or payout being processed, or a Partner Store that is still open or holding parcels — your request waits. We check every hour, and deletion continues automatically once they're resolved (never before the 7 days are up).

While your request is open you can still sign in and finish what's already in progress — track and pay for existing parcels, finish delivery jobs you hold, hand in cash, sort out refunds and payouts, and contact support. You can't start anything new — book a new parcel, go online for new jobs, invite staff or top up a wallet you don't owe on — unless you cancel the request.

We email you when you make the request (so you'd know if someone else did), if you cancel it, and when the deletion is complete.

5. Changing your mind

Until deletion is complete you can cancel the request on this page or in the app, from the same Delete account screen.

6. Can't sign in?

Reset your password from the sign-in page, or email support@vartko.com from the email address on your account (or tell us the phone number on it). We'll confirm it's you before acting on the request. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
